Rockwood pop up 12v problem

I recently purchased a 2002 rockwood premier pop up camper. I had been unable to get the dome lights or exhaust fan to work (I have only been able to run the 12v system from the converter as I haven't purchased at battery yet). While troubleshooting I was able to get the exhaust fan to run for a minute when I bypassed the switch under the stovetop/sink, but as soon as I flipped the switch on the dome light, the fan stopped and I could not get it to come back on even when I switched the dome light to the off position.

All fuses are still fine on the converter and the fan.

Any wisdom or insight would be greatly appreciated!

The switch you bypassed is known to be a point of failure. It is there to make sure the lights, etc. go off when you put the galley in travel mode. That makes sure you don't have a light burning the tenting when the roof is down. You can replace the switch, and I will guess your issue go away. PM me, and I will send you some other info on popups that will help.

Thanks so much, but it turned out to be a poor connection or frayed wire that extends the length of the post when extended. I replaced the cheap plastic connectors and it all works!
