Rockwood Roo Solar Charging Kit

We take our Rockwood Roo 23ss travel trailer out at least 2x per month. We typically only go within 90miles from where we live in Spokane WA. Since we live in an apartment, we store our RV in a storage lot with others. We typically like to go places without any hook-ups what so ever therefore we are frequently challenged with getting our batteries fully charged. We have decided to purchase a portable solar kit to charge and maintain our batteries so when we head out, we are ready to go and we will be able to charge while camping. Once we get our kit, we will also begin to replace all bulbs with LED. This long explanation DOES have a point.
1- what tips can anyone give on the size, placement and other features with systems you have?
2- what brands do you find reliable? What about using a regulator so we don't overcharge the batteries?
3- any mistakes you made we can avoid?
4- what are we missing? This seems pretty easy to do... We do not want a permanent mount on the trailer though.
Thank you!

Good questions here.

Solar is agnostic to the type of camper and I'm thinking there are only a few Roo campers who have done this, so I'm moving the thread to Electrical, Charging Systems & Solar - Forest River Forums to give it better exposure.

You will also find other members who have posted their solar experiences in that subforum.
