This website sells a prewired plug, if you don't like the idea of the fuse hack.

$19.95 to do what a $0.15 fuse will do.

front white light

We just bought a 2006 roo 23 trailer and have it plugged into our electrical, in our driveway. I noticed that the white light on the body of the trailer, near the hitch is on. When we unplug the trailer it goes off. Is there a switch to turn this light off? The light switch for the outside lights does not control this light. The trailer is sitting with the battery disconnected.

Should be a switch at the light. The strange part is that it should be a 12v light not 110v. Someone might have changed it before you. All or I would guess are 12v do not know of any 110v lights on exteriors of TT. I guess you will have to trace the wire.

Sounds like the jack light. Should be a switch to turn it off. If you have an electric jack, it should be on the jack head.

If you've really got some time to pi$$ away, you could build one of these. Water proof box with female Bargman receptacle for your trailer plug (keeps it dry and off the ground). Switch on the side is for marker & tail lights off / on - steady / on-flashing. Silver plug & stretchy cord is for hard wired rear view camera. (All on a previous 5th wheel TH).

Light did not come on until it rained . ( wbdavey)The trailer plug is off the ground, but exposed to the elements. Would moisture affect the connection through the trailer plug? (jlgurczyk) There is no switch near the light. ( jbob) There is no electric jack. It is on the right hand side ( as you look at the trailer) of the base of the trailer . It is a 23 ft hybrid trailer.

bjones - I was responding to the original topic of this thread - running lights on camper. I agree with others, your white light should have a switch. If the light is on the front of the camper, feel along the bottom of the body of the light for the switch. The light is almost certainly a 12 volt light, but it receives power from your converter/battery charger when the cord is plugged in even though the battery is disconnected.

Thanks

Thanks to all those who responded to my question, concerning the hitch light. It does have a switch on it. I appreciate your responses, and patience with a person new to the forest river forum.
