Safe-T-Alarm

If by chance you have a Safe-T-Alarm...they are specifically designed to "fail" within 5 years of purchase and installation! I just had my 2011 Georgetown 300GFWS LP/CO detector/alarm fail and when I went to replace ordered the exact model number...wrong...needed to buy the more expensive replacement with solenoid required for proper install at a cost over $350!!!!!!!!plus installation..go figure..an automatic required purchase every 60 months regardless of usage! Something wrong with this picture, however, without no hot water, no heat, no cooking!
Seems to be somewhat unfair, unscrupulous, and a great money maker for MTI industries!
