Has anyone had a problem with their batteries being stolen.

Never had a problem with that.

Heard more about power cords (worth lots more than the battery).

My buddy at work, who happens to live a half mile away, said two of his neighbors had theirs stolen. Mine are locked.

2000 Cherokee 31BH, "flipped axles and raised",LEDs, solar, inverter, etc..aka "boondock ready". '07 Tundra 5.7L DC-LB, modded as well.

That's what happens when people start buying 6V's instead of 8D's!
If they can't lift 'em they can't steal 'em!

Welded up a T bar to go over the top of the battery boxes and welded a bolt with a hole in it, put a nut on it and a padlock.

That went on our 08 Flagstaff 831RLSS when we traded it in 2012 along with big slide out drawers on rollers in the storage area and a couple of other mods.

I had two of those python locks on my batteries. However, I had to get a pair of bolt cutters to cut one off last weekend when I returned from a trip. The lock would not turn, no matter what I sprayed into it, and it had been sprayed periodically during the period I used it.
The other one works ok.
Lucky, I knew a state cop with a very large bolt cutter in his cruiser...used to cut padlocks on access control posts when required.

Going to replace them both with just the same gauge cable with some heavy duty padlocks with combinations.

Several RVs at my old storage place had batteries, p-tanks and power cords stolen. My TT was included in the hit.

Great pictures of how to lock up the batteries.
