Shore Power and Battery Disconnect Question

2015 Silverback 33RL, While being hooked to the shore power, if the battery disconnect is on off, shouldn't the lights still come on? I have a light with a ceiling fan and tv's that come on but everything else does not.

Also yesterday, I noticed the ceiling lights were getting very dim and the battery life was at 1. Replaced the battery with another fresh battery, everything is good but now the fresh battery is at 3 out of 4. Is this the converter not charging issue?

You need to have the battery disconnect in the ON position. ON means battery ON and OFF means battery OFF. The battery disconnect label is only identifying the switch.

yes, I would expect the 12 volt lights to work even if the battery disconnect switch was off (batteries disconnected) while on shore power. this is because the converter should be supplying 12 volt power (though with the batteries disconnected it would not be doing any charging). if you are not getting 12 volt power first thing to check is the 110 volt circuit breaker for the converter to see that it is on. if so, then check the converter output (the 12 volt output). many converters have large 12 volt fuses in them that will blow if there was a problem with the cabling between the converter and the batteries (reverse polarity when hooking up batteries). if these have blown you will not get any 12 volt power. your batteries may not be charging due to either being disconnected or fuses in converter being blown. the 12 volt output from the converter should be in the range of 13.6 dc volts.
