Shore power cover LED not on?

Not sure how to word this question. On my Cherokee 304 BH the shore power (30 amp) recepticle has a cover with a blue LED. I hooked up battery and plugged the camper in over the weekend to get it opened up and see how it wintered. When pluging it to power the LED in the outlet cover plate lights up (also a LED in the end at the cord that gets plugged into the power source). All was fine yesterday. Today I went to close it back up and noticed the LED on the cover plate is out, LED on the power cord is on and the outlets functioned, turned off the battery master just to make sure, and the unit is still getting shore power. Unit is just over a year old. Is the LED on the cover just junk like some other parts on this thing on is this some kind of signal?

If ac works in camper, definitely sounds like the cover is bad. Unplug and replugg does it come back?

Tried plugging and unplugging, even blew on it for good measure. I have power for sure. Kinda sucks. Liked that little feature when hooking up at night. Figures. I always brag about the value of my Cherokee compared to some pricier models, get what you pay for I guess.

Water more than likely got in there and did its thing once it got plugged in. Mine failed when the trailer was 3 months old. Took it all apart and it was wet. I basically rebuilt it with a new led and filled it with silicone. Seems to be a common failure I have read a few stories about the LED failing.

Very common failure. They are pretty much junk. Mine failed after only 2 months. Light on the cord end still works though so I just go by that and whether appliances will power on to determine if I got power.

30 amp power connection cover LED

Mine lasted just one day after delivery from the dealership. Just a piece of junk.
(like a lot of Warren Buffet's Forest River stuff)

That Furrion socket is a pretty high end item as RV parts go.

Had 2 fail for me. First one FR replaced under warranty. Second one I bought myself. I think the first one bit the dust because the wife was plugging in the power cord with the breaker on. She was causing surges. Now it's done the proper way by turning off the breaker, pluggin in, then turn on the breaker. Second time the light went out while plugged in at home and a storm came by. I now have a Progressive Industries EMS unit and the light burns blue, no failures.
