Shore power hits genset

Hi All,

I had a weird event happen this weekend. I plugged into the campsite 30A outlet with my power cable and there was a strange buzzing noise coming from the onboard Onan Microquiet 4K gasoline genset.

I immediately pulled out the shore power plug but cannot figure out why the genset would be affected by shore power. The rest of the weekend we survived on battery power (barely).

I suspect it may be the converter. Has anyone got some suggestions on what to check or do? I obviously don't want to plug in again until the problem is resolved.

My rig is a 2006 Lexington 255GTS.

Thanks for the help. What's the best way to check if it's blown?

Transfer switch

Sorry, I'm new at this...
Looks like the transfer switch is inside the Parallax 7155 Converter .
Can the switch be replaced without replacing the converter?

The transfer switch is a totally different device than the the converter. The converter is your battery charger and is fed from the transfer switch. The transfer switch , switches between the shore power and the generator. Should be one of the other, but never both. It would be almost impossible for the transfer switch to be in a position to supply power from the shore and the generator. Not saying impossible, but not probable.
