Slide power on 12V

After almost 40 years of RVing this question seems a little embarrassing but at my age I'm way past that.
If my batteries are low, and I fire Up my generator, does it give proper voltage to my slide motors. Sometimes when we are ready to hit the road our battery's are a bit tired and I don't like running anything on low voltage.
Your answers anticipated!
Thank you

Yep, your converter should convert 120v from the generator to 12v and give your 12v system proper voltage for slides and whatnot.

Should it...Maybe.
Will it...Possibly.
Your slide motors, if electric, run right off the 12 volt house batteries. If they're real low, even if genny is on, or your plugged into a pedestal, may not have enough "oomph" to power slide. And if your batteries are dead n done, and won't hold a charge, then your not going to be powering your slide, even with genny or pedestal power.
If batteries are down, just turning on genny doesn't automatically "power" them up. May take a bit. Best bet is to simply hook up a permenant volt/amp gauge to the batteries so you can monitor them at a glance.
Easy and cheap to do.
