Slides and Stablizers Not Working

Hello, I am having a problem with my slide outs and stabilizer jacks. They are all motorized. Under battery power, I was sliding out my bunk room slide when it just stopped suddenly. I tried the other slide and nothing happened when I press the switch. I also tried to raise my stab jacks and nothing would happen when I pressed the switch. I then plugged the trailer into my house outlet thinking the battery was dead, but still nothing worked. I waited about 10 minutes and tried it again and was able to move the slides to the out position and the stabs worked. Then a few minutes later, I brought the bunk house slide all the way in and then tried to bring the dining slide in and everything went dead again. Also, the stabs went dead again. I replaced the battery and still nothing worked. All of my lights work. My TT is the 2012 Primetime Lacrosse 318BHS. Thanks for any help on this.

Sounds like auto reset in line circuit breaker opening under load. It's opening prematurely and taking overtime to reset. Can be found in auto/truck supply. Must be found and size determined to replace. Usually located near battery bank.

Is that in the 12V or 120V circuit? What does that part look like? What can cause that to fail? Thanks for your help.

12 volt. Should look something like this one on ebay;

15-50A AUTO RESET In-Line CIRCUIT BREAKER 12V dc SOLAR | eBay

You could use a manual reset to replace...

The battery you replaced was it dead? Did you check the "new" battery's charge?

I found something similar to this by each of my switches for the stab jacks. Could this be it and would there be 2 of these auto reset breakers? One near each stab jack switch?

My old battery was not dead and new battery was fully charged. My power awning and all lights work with either battery. Just slides and stabs not working.

I guess it's possible, I can't see both going out at the same time. Any camper I've had only had 1 (manual) close to the battery. My jacks have fuses in the electric panel inside the TT. I would check the ground wire and look for that breaker close to the battery. Follow the positive wire, should be the first connection it goes to.

I don't see the connection between the sides and stabilizer jacks? Really the only relation should be the battery????? The switches for your Jacks are outside, right? Slide switch inside?

Normally they use group breakers for similar items: breaker four jacks another for slides. Now your on to it buy and change goofy trips keep in mind some may be branch supplies and cut all in a group. You're gettin closer ..

When this happens, the slides or jacks stop, you said you lights are working? If so, are you plugged into shore power? If so, unplug from shore power and see if lights go out. If they do then it does make sense and it is the breaker....

I will double check tomorrow. I think I have lights and awning both with and without shore power. Are the lights and awning strictly 12V?

Yes they are 12 volt, can't say there are not any exceptions to that though.

I could be wrong but I'm thinking your lights and awning may be powered by the converter, so they don't need the battery to get 12 volts, if your plugged into 110. I'm thinking your jacks and slide(s) are wired to the battery, so if that breaker trips, they get no juice. That's the only way I can see why they wouldn't work and other 12 volt stuff does....

Like I said, follow the positive wire from the battery and you should find the breaker... They are just a circuit breaker that if tripped it will resets itself when it cools down. They can ware out, just like regular breakers.

All 12 volt loads use the converter (if on shore power) and battery, always, they are connected in parallel. Only exception to this are large loads which may draw more than the converter can provide, then the battery takes the brunt. EX- central hydraulic system draws 80 amps deploying jacks, no converter can suppy. All loads are seperately fused, lights, app. Etc from the DC re powerpanel. Large loads are cabled and current protected remotely, like slides and jacks.
Only lights on 115VAC are those you plug in. Because yours acted off and on with a delay that should lead to a power supply, breaker, fault.
