Solar and Generator at the same time ?

For simplicity, can you plug a battery into the Zamp solar plug to feed the TT? I converted my new Rockwood 2507s to dual 6v system and can get 4 days before it hits 1/3 power. I would like to use the extra battery for the back up if the dual system drains. Anybody see any problems with that?

Yes I do, the Zamp plug has very thin (about 16 ga.) wires running from it to the battery. You won't be able to pull much amperage through that.

The Zamp plug was meant for low amperage charging from a portable solar panel.

Good call 5Picker, I didnt think of that aspect. I do know the wire that runs from the plug to the battery is more than 16ga because when I was checking out the storage in back of the zamp plug I noticed the wire wasn't even connected to it so I had to install it. I believe it is 10 or 12ga. but I should be concerned about the plug itself.
My second option will be to make a pig tail that will come from the spare battery to the trailer harness that plugs into the TV. I would like to make it quick and simple so the wife can do it when we run out of juice at 3 am and the furnace dies and she can plug it in

I didn't hear from Renogy, but I have used my system for 3 days. All worked well with solar panel connected while running a generator. No problems for me.
