Solar charger while dry camping

We plan to dry camp alot this summer ( no hookups). We will leave our HW 256 ( 2006) in one spot all day long and return at night. Has anyone purchased a solar charger to let the battery charge during the day? If so any recommendations/tips would be appreciated!

not that this would happen but leaving a portable solar charger out while you're gone, may not be a good idea. similar to leaving a portable generator out.

it may be gone when you get back.

if you mounted it to the roof and everything was inside, then that would be a better idea.

A portable tied down and out of sight on the roof or permanent mount would be best.
