Smile Solar Research

If you are looking for a good education on solar power, battery charging and you want to be off the grid and not own a generator, google "Handy Bob" and read his blog on the battery puzzle. It will open your eyes to the possibilities.

His information is meaty and has helped us decide how to achieve success with solar.

We currently have installed 2/200 watt panels, a tristar morningstar controller,
TS-45, with a temperature sensor, trimetric battery monitor, Samlex 1500 watt sine wave inverter, and 4 Trojan T105 batteries.
We are still waiting for the inverter but the solar panels are up and at peak Montana sun for the last two days we were getting 19 amps.
So far so good and we really expect to be generator free.
Good Luck
