Surge guard

I'm looking at put a hard wire surge guard on my Solera the system is a 30 amp. so should I just go with a 30 amp Surge guard or up to a 50 amp?

You need a 30A surge guard as that's the size of your service in the camper. I don't think that a 50A surge guard could be wired up to a 30A service.
