Surge protection

I am looking at the Progressive Industries SSP30 Smart Surge for my camper. Does anyone use this or have any knowledge of? Is there something better for a reasonable price? With a range of price from $60 to $400 there are a lot of options. I do believe you get what you pay for, but I am not looking to buy something with options that are not necessary.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Search the threads there is alot of information. The short skinny is the PI units are the best you can buy and VERY well worth it. If you want low voltage supplementary power than HERC has another unit he swears by, but I can't remember what it's name is, Hopefully he will chime in.

Portable Surge Guards With LCD Display - 30 Amp - TRC 34730-003 - Surge Protectors - Camping World

I ended up with the surge guard unit from Camping World and been pretty happy with it. It may not be as high tech as the #1 favorite here but seems to offer what I need for my TT & budget. There is a video on the link that I found helpful in understanding what it does.

On my last trip I returned to my TT to find warning lights flashing and the power off. This is the second time the SP came in handy. I'm really glad to have invested in some form of protection.

30 minute install in my 5er.

Check around for prices!
Best part is the lifetime warranty.

Got the same one, it has done it's thing to protect the trailer several times. 3 different CG this year had bad power, one so bad I could not even use the AC as the voltage dropped to less than 100 when I turned the air on, it was only 108 to start with.

FWIW Herk has the Franks Autoformer that can boost the voltage when it drops too low. I am going to get me one of those bad boys when the funds are available from the CFO.
