Surge protector install

I’ve seen enough warnings of troubles caused by errant campground electricity that installing a surge protector is now at the top of the list for our “mandatory mods.” We have a 2016 Forester 2401S, and I’m curious where peeps installed the unit & especially the remote display. Any/all ideas welcome!

They also make 50 Amp ones if needed.
