Very true!

Didn't take long either to get into the "It saved me" club... Was staying at Elkhart last month during a heat wave where I had two E6 low voltage shutdowns in one day...

I would go for the good EMS and expect to pay around $275 for a 30 AMP portable or about $330 for a 50 AMP. Good Luck

Quality doesn't cost, it pays. We have the Progressive Ind. hardwired 50 amp EMS unit with remote display in our coach. Transfered this from our Wildcat fifth wheel.

Surge Protector question

I had a board go on my dometic fridge. Long story, short version is I have a PI 30 amp portable EMS. I wasn't using it at home and my electrical cord shorted at the adapter plug. RV dealer said it may have saved the board!! $300 later I'm kicking myself for not using it.

I will never, ever not use it even for 5 mins.

Mine is connected here at home.......and last night, even at home, I got "low voltage"!! 99.99999999999% of local power company customers have no clue. If it fried something in the house (the trailer is protected!~!! LOL).....I'd have SOME proof!
