Taillight turned on for no reason.

I am at a campground and last night we were coming back from my friend's site when I noticed that one of my taillight (driver side) was on. After pulling out numerous fuses I was able to find the right one. Today I want to investigate what could be the problem, any ideas where to start? We own a 2016 Sunseeker 2400w. I out of town ( in the woods) and not near any dealer.

If you drove through rain, you probably got the Curt taillight controller wet. It is zip tied to an aluminum plate located on your rear bumper.

You should check out this thread here

You can possibly try spraying WD-40 onto the controller and it may start working properly when it dries out - but the only solution that has worked so far is to enclose it in a weatherproof box or replace it with the potted version of the same controller.

Wow that was a quick reply! Thanks KatanaPilot, indeed we did travel in heavy rain on Friday and this maybe the culprit. This will be one of my task today before heading south tomorrow. Thanks again!
