Thermostat not cycling

I have a Rockwood 2703SS
When we first started the furnace/air it clicked on fine but when it reached it's temp & shut down it would not come back on when the temp got colder in the camper. Took the thermostat cover off & there is a glass fuse that I replaced & worked fine for that initial turn on but would not cycle again. When I went to pull the glass fuse out I used a butterknife because that's all I had handy, when I touched the connections when pulling out the fuse the furnace/air would work

If I keep the fuse in & use some type of metal piece touching it the unit will run. It's weird & I can't figure it out

Are you saying you use something metal to hold the fuse in the holder?

Either there's a short in the low voltage wires causing the fuse to blow or the fuse you have is not rated high enough for the circuit.

It's not really holding the fuse in, it's touching the fuse & the connections at the same time. Hard to explain
