TT battery help. Please

I bought a new Forest River Salem 27RLSS. I have had it a week Saturday when I brought it home I plugged it in to electric at my house via an adapter and ext. cord. When I came out two days ago all lights were dead and the new battery was dead so I disconnected it and charged it up and re connected it and all lights and stuff came on now today again the battery is dead. I have checked the fuse and breaker panel inside and all is good. I also checked the ext. cord and outlet. What else can I do?
Thanks

Do you have a battery cut off switch?

A new FR trailer without a battery disconnect.....seems odd. Mine is a push/pull switch located right beside the charger.

It sounds like you don't have power to the extension cord. When you are on "shore" power you should have lights even with a dead battery.
Start out simple - check the cord is delivering power, then take a look at breakers.

a quick way to confirm that you have AC power, upon hook up is to look at your microwave.......if there are no numbers flashing, you have no AC power to the trailer.

Not really. I bought new 2010 and 2013 Surveyors and neither had a battery disconnect. Easy to install one, though.

2012 and up they started installing disconnects at the factory.

To the op
This is not a disconnect issue.
There's either no power coming into camper or there's no power from the outside connection to the converter.

Are you plugged into a gfci in your house?
If so this may be your problem.
Have you also checked your circuit breakers in your house ?

Not on my 2013 Surveyor 220. I imagine it varies from model to model.

Yes I checked the house breakers and I am not on a gfi circuit and I checked the ext. cord and tried other outlets and cords. I have also checked the breakers in the camper and fuses.
Thanks

I haven't seen one on our 2013 Surveyor SP 296 either.

Nor on my Sabre. I know they're doing it now, I have a picture from my factory tour.

I wouldn't put too much time or labour into this repair, outside of visual insopection and breakers. I wouldn't start tinkering with the converter.

You mentioned that the trailer is new, I assume you have full warranty.

Let the dealer make the repair under warranty, if it happens again, at least you have a paper trial.

That's what I was trying not to do this week my dealer is a hour away and I am working all week and have reservations at the lake this weekend for 3 days it is my first trip not out to a good start. Is there a way to bypass it for the weekend?

Our charged RV marine battery never stayed charged very long even when only using it to run a light or two.

It's basically shore power or forget it.

Ok. When you can, let's check the connections to the battery, check the ground connection to the frame, and look for an inline fuse from the battery.
