Turn signal

Hello everyone,
It is time once again to pull out the rig and test out the systems. I have a 2006 Rockwood 2603. When testing the lights I have all running lights, brakes, and left turn signal. The right turn signal is the only one that doesn't function. I have checked the circuit to the plug on the tv and it all checks out. I think it may be a problem with the ground but am not sure where to go from here. I know someone on this forum can help me.

Quite often corrosion will build up in the socket which prevents the bulb from making a good ground contact. Try removing the bulb, taking a small piece of fine sandpaper to scour the inside of the socket, spray with a little WD-40. Usually that will fix it.

If you have a brake light on that side, the turn signal problem isn't the bulb. The problem may be in your 7 pin plug. Try spraying WD40 on both sides of it.

Thanks or the advice. I looked at the contacts in the soket and they are clean. The sides however are corroded. I will give everything a good shot of WD40 tomorrow and see what happens.

I coat everything with dielectric grease, get some from Canadian Tire. Plugs, sockets, etc...
If your cleaning things make sure your power to that circuit is off or you could start blowing fuses. Somewhere on your truck and trailer frame there should be a black wire, most often thats the ground and they just rust, faster if your closer to the salt water.

Just replaced my right assembly due to corrosion in the socket to pass inspection (too dim). The left one will get done today.

Also check the fuzes under the hood of the TV. All of the trailer wiring has separate fuzes from the TV.

You might have missed the "too dim" clue.
There was voltage just not enough ground.

Thanks for all the advice. I took out the bulbs, cleaned the connections and sprayed them down with WD40. Everything works perfectly.
