Under awning LED strip lighting?

Bright enough to land a plane at night, Hahaha! Is there any way to dim the light? Any suggestions?

If you wired in the controller, the remote has a dimming function.

You can buy a inline one color dimmer with rf remote on ebay for 3$ to 8$ all you have to do is cut the power wires that run to your led lights in the awning channel behind the plastic strip tape it up very good as to prevent water in penetrating it and its done you can dim it from 5% to 100%

Thanks for the info Ky joe. I just ordered one for less than $8.The remote is suppose to be good for 15 meters or 50 feet. So I think I will put mine on the inside where the wires leave the switch and see if the remote works before putting it on the outside.

I have read that you need to connect them to the actual ground for the power and not to use a common ground. I could not get to one in my camper so I just put it in the awning channel.... And if it only last a season or two I will just replace it, its cheap enough.

My remote worked as stated, nice to not have to aim it to change the lights... Pretty easy install my lights were way to bright also you could see the glow all the way around campground

I agree on the ground. If I can't find it inside I will put it outside.

I put our awning leds and step cutout leds on a Dusk to Dawn electric eye and never turn them off. Come on at dusk and go off in the morning, even at home. We really like it.
