Weird 120v issue

So I'm here at the lake with the family....I'm standing outside of the rv firing up the grill as the wife plugs in the vacuum cleaner (kind of Norman Rockwell) to hear the fridge's familiar click of the gas selonoid and the Ping of the igniter. I think this is strange as we are on shore power and bigger than you know what wife sticks her head out as says the vacuum won't work. Find out the the fridge 120v and all not gfci are dead. No breaker pop. Weird. Start at the fridge outlet and start pullin and prodding only to find everything starts working again. Then as quick as it came on it went off. Pulled the rv fridge outlet to find some Frankenstein of a outlet. It apparently is some sort of ultra speed connection where the wires are forced into some bars and the insulation is cut and that's how the connection is made. This appears to be the start of the leg of 120 and it's possible this outlet is just faulty as everything now is working fine.

Anyone else ever have this issue? This outlet is something I have never seen before and I think I am going to replace it.

I'll snap a photo soon.

I'd like to see that. I think I know what you got, but still want to see it first. Mostly used for low volt taps/spliced.

2000 Cherokee 31BH, "flipped axles and raised",LEDs, solar, inverter, etc..aka "boondock ready". '07 Tundra 5.7L DC-LB, modded as well. C-co, 8/158th, AVN.

Oh, ok. wow. Being a former commercial electrician, I don't like the looks of that. I see a lot of possibilities for a bad connection.

Finally got to pull the outlet....hard to tell if this is my problem but it seems to have fixed this issue. What a goofy way to wire a coach.
