WFCO internal fan

I know the WFCO power station has a 2 speed cooling fan that runs depending on how much DC I'm using. I've noticed that the fan does not sound like it is running smoothly. Kind of like a "wah, wah, wah" sound. I'm guess the fan is going bad

Has anyone messed with these units or replaced the fan?

It may not be the fan per se'.. You have to test voltages. Possibly the voltage is fluctating and the bottom end is going bad..

Price wise it may be better to just replace the bottom end with a better unit...

The fan is easy to access, but verify first. No sense parts changing...

Here are the troubleshooting charts..

I changed the fan in one of ours on a previous rig that was doing the same thing. It's pretty easy to change out for a better fan. I got one with a better air flow numbers and that was quieter.

I suggest you follow Lawrosa's advice first and make sure it's just the fan.

Thanks for the replies. I'll post what I find after a few days when I can get to it.
