Standard apology applies, in that I searched the forum for this and didn't find a thread, so I'm jumping right in...
There's a 12v rocker switch located just above the "tanks/battery monitor panel" in the kitchen area of my (new to me) 2008 Cherokee 27G. I've attached a .JPG of the unlighted switch. It's wired with purple/white zip cord, the same color code used for the monitor panel, and seems to run vertically up the wall.
More than likely tank heaters. Water pump should be one of the switches on the monitor panel below it in the picture, can't read the labels on them well enough. If it were for the water heater, it would normally have a reset light next to it to let you know that the DSI was not able to ignite.

Possible answer! The trailer does, in fact, have tank heaters. Tonight I'll check for voltage on those leads with the switch off/on, and report back to the group.
Answer confirmed! That's apparently the "master switch" for the tank heat pads. Voltage on circuit with switch on, and the wires connected to the "first" tank in the series were the same purple/white zip cord. Thanks, all!
Yeah, what you have is a gas/electric hot water tank. The neat thing about that configuration is that you can run with both the gas and electric elements on. This allows for a much shorter recovery time for the hot water tank.
The other advantage is when you are staying at an RV park, you can leave the gas switched off and run just on shore power. This allows you to save propane.
