What size generator needed for 15000 Air

I,m planning to buy a generator for dry camping. Does anyone have any experience with using a Honda eu3000 to run there air? I have a 15000 unit.

Steve

3000 watts and up. Might get by with a 2800 in the right brand. Others will reply with greater detail. But 3000 will run ac.

Father in law has one. Very quiet, easy to start and runs ac and other accessories. But $$$.

I have a champion 4000....it runs the a/c 15000.....but I put the surge protector on it and get intermittent reverse polarity when a/c running....with that decided not to run a/c....but it runs all else fine and surge meter stays normal.....I have not checked it with everything but the a/c shut off////that might take care of the reading

You may need to make a bonding plug for your generator. A regular house type socket with the neutral and ground connected with a jumper that you plug into the 20 amp outlet of your generator should solve that.

just realize that this is an open-framed contractor generator and is great for Boondocking or motor races but not for a campground.
way too loud for being close to others, unless it's at a Nascar event.

the new Champion 3100w inverter generator would be a much better choice for use in a campground with no hookups, meaning dry camping.
