Where is my battery disconnect switch?

I just bought a 2012 Flagstaff Micro Lite 21FBRS and the literature states that it comes with a battery disconnect switch. I have looked all over the outside and inside including the battery box but cannot find one. Is this something that should have come from the factory or does the dealer install it? The dealer did not cover it in the walk through but that is maybe something that can be overlooked unless it is in plain sight. Any ideas before I ask the dealer? We are really enjoying the camper otherwise though.

Dealer should have went over it!
Normally it's real close to the battery .

You might find it inside next to the converter. Attached is a picture of a 2012 Roo 233s with the factory disconnect. See the silver knob next to the converter?

(The picture is from biken201)

From what I have seen the newly installed battery disconnect was introduced on later 2012 models, at least on the Shamrock and Roo for example.

It could be a case where your model, an early 2012, was built prior to the change.

Could that be the case ?

'cause, I think it's pretty obvious to see it inside if is is in fact installed.

Notice the fine print in the brochure: changes and mods can be made at any time.

Good luck.

Good point. I have an early 2012 and it did not come with a factory disconnect.

We have a 2012 Flagstaff 8528RKWS and I haven't found the battery disconnect switch either. It is advertised, but it's a no-show on ours.

I really like the cabinet wood work in the picture - not too dark or light for my taste.

No silver knob in ours so it must be one of the earlier models. I'll call the dealer but they will probably say the same thing. There are plenty of listings here about putting one in, so I'll be checking those out.

Its ok that its not included as you can add a Blue Sea battery disconnect for about $30 and others go for about 1/2 that price.

This would go outside on the tongue or battery box. There are lot and lots of threads regarding disconnects because its such as popular mod and, until late last year, most of us had to install aftermarket.

As stated, the disconnect is near the converter. I *think* you push it to disconnect but I can't remember. For sure you can hear the converter running when the battery is "connected", and it'll go silent when the battery is disconnected.

My 2604 has the knob in the picture also. It would have been much better if it was "Pull to disconnect". I have bumped mine twice and accidentally disconnected.

Some highly paid individual came up with this after weeks of research and sourcing - you figured it out in 2 minutes... ah well

On our new trailer it is located right at the bottom of the battery box.

cody, it would help if you identified what trailer you have. there have been several different models mentioned so far.

We have a 2012 29rk (purchased late December 2012) and it has a battery disconnect. It is located in the water servicing and dump valves compartment on the inner partition. It is a red key attached to a lanyard and labeled "BATT DISCONNECT" with 2 positions "DISC" which is Off and "CONN" which is ON.
