It's all about picking your battles. I'm divorced, I'll keep my mouth shut and my opinion to myself on this one.

Perhaps your wisdom has come to late. Wisdom none the less.

Well not sure the strap will hold much? But at least your tires wont ever lose air. With the nitrogen in them.

That strap won't stop that trailer from rolling. I think the limit on that strap is 250 #.

X2 - I agree - strap doesn't stand a chance. Even if it had a 500lb capacity, you are working against double leverage... forces are incredible.

Look at a X-chock... those can shoot out like a rocket if not removed before departure. Specifically states it is not for chocking, but only for stabilization.

The resistance of a chock is the weight of the trailer itself having to "climb" over the obstacle - being the chock.

The only thing that could look worse is if you would actually use trash can lids as chocks.
You may not realize it, but, you just won the golden ticket. The wife says spend money.

Looks trashy, and not going to keep from rolling or reduce rocking

ok, i get it as an economic try but it really will not accomplish the goal.

i bought both x-chocks here on the forum & has been the best $50 I've spent.
that is where i would look for an economic resolution to a real need!

Get the heavy duty sturdy chocks, not the cheap flimsy chickpeas they will crush easily. Lose the strap as it will be ineffective.
