Will battery recharge if shorepower connected

HI, Just got a brand new 23ss roo and today when we came home the lp alarm was going off. Scratched head and wondered why. Removed the fuse and decided to call dealer in am. Later on this evening went out to trailer and tried to turn on lights and NO GO. Hmmm, Battery dead, LP alarm going off earlier. Read forums and LP alarm will go off when battery is dead.
This trailer is 2 weeks old. I plugged the trailer into house power, read somewhere that converter would charge battery. Will leave it on house power tonight, but think in am will pull battery and put it on a real charger to bring all the way back. Did not check what type battery it is yet, heck, haven;t even taken battery cover off yet. BUT I do know on the way home from work I will be picking up a Battery switch...... I am a believer now......

if shorepower is connected you should have 12volts, with or without the battery being charged.

and if shorepower is connected the converter should be charging the house battery
i would check the fuses to make sure the 120 volt circuit breaker is not tripped for the converter so it will send power to the converter

You may have a "battery disconnect" switch of some kind. This switch disconnects pretty much all 12v functions. You will be looking most likely in one of you outside storage compartments.

the Roo/Shamrock line do not have battery disconnect switches like more expensice towables do.

with a switch, you don't have to have the trailer hooked up all the time to keep the battery charged. just turn the battery off and when you get ready to go camping, plug into a shore line and turn the switch back on a day or two before you leave.
