If you have 2 12 volts in a Box now, just measure the box then Google the batterys you want to use and get the measurements for certain. But yes 2 6volts should fit. I have always gone from 6 volt in a car to 12 volt and they fit the battery tray.

When I switched over to 6v, I had to get new boxes as the 6v batteries were too tall for the 12v boxes.
