Wire connector

I'm going to connect an inverter to the wiring for my slide and would rather not cut the wires. The only connector I can find is the type that cuts thru the insulation. What I would like is a T connector that is M/F straight thru with a third spade terminal coming out the side, this way all I would need to do is unplug the slide wire, add the connector and reconnect to have something to plug into.

Anyone know where to find something like this or what to search for?

sounds like you have an existing spade terminal connection (male terminal slides into a female connector). do a google search on 'spade terminal splitter'

If i'm reading this right your saying your going to use the 12 volt wiring for your slide to run an inverter ? don't do it you need to run large gauge wire from your battery for the inverter not the wire they use for a slide . if i'm reading this correctly

What are you going to power with the inverter? If the device draw 5 amps it will need to pull 50 (fifty) amps from the 12v circuit -- you'll smoke most trailer wiring. Same ratio applies with any amperage. 1a = 10a, 2a = 20a etc. And it really takes more as the inverter used power during the conversion.

Inverter is properly installed directly to the battery with as short of wires as posible.

Not really a "Tee" but maybe what you are looking for?
(For reference you probably can buy in less quantities than linked)

As noted, be sure you understand current draw on whatever you are hooking up.

Female to Double Male Flat Adapter

Unless you are planning to run very small AC items ( one amp DC or so) you should be connecting the inverter directly to the battery with the appropriate fuse. As mentioned for each AC amp you draw you are drawing 10 DC amps so it will not take much to exceed the capacity of the slide circuit.

Until Ed responds with an answer about what he wants to power this is all conjecture.
I'm gonna guess he just wants to charge a lap top or something.

I power my TV with an inverter plugged into the socket on the side of my antenna booster/connection.

Thanks 5picker, that's what I'm looking for. I did a search and a few different variations came up, I'm sure one will work. The only thing I could find from previous searches was a T-tap which cuts into the insulation, something I don't like to do.

I appreciate every ones concern for safety, I should have specified that this is a 300W inverter for the TV. I currently plug it into a cigarette lighter type outlet but can't use the inverter to its capacity so I wanted to tap into the 10 gauge wire from the slide since it would never be used at the same time as the inverter. I will use a SAE 2 pin connector for this.
