Wiring Light from 12v to 6v!

I have a wireless motion sensor light that uses 4 of it's own C batteries. That would be 6 volts total. What I would like to do is wire it into a 12 volt circuit that has it's own on/off switch. Is there any way to reduce the 12 volts down to 6 volts?
