Zamp solar on tt

My Grey wolf 25rl came with this already installed. Any one else have this and does it just charge batteries or will it be good for boondocking. The dealer told me all I needed was a panel, any suggestions

From what i understand about it is that it charges batteries. You just need to buy a portable solar kit from zamp with the controllerbuilt in.

If you want to boondock i would think u need to wire a power inverter into the system. But dont quote me on that as i really dont know anything about boondocking and whatthe batteries can power and cant power

Depends on the size of the panel. Sometimes a relatively low power panel is used (5 watt) just to keep the battery charged when stored. In this case no controlling panel is needed. If it is a larger panel then a charge controller is needed.

How much power you will have for boon docking will depend on the size of he panel, the number of batteries and when electrical items you will run.

So either give us the rating of the panel or at least the physical size and we will go from there.
