26tbss Tires shot after 1500 miles??

I have a 2011 26tbss I bought new in February. I was checking tires and the tires are pretty much shot. They are all worn on the inside edge! The all 4 tires are tilted in at the top. One tire on the drivers rear is virtually bald. I know the tires are cheap but I am wondering if I have an alignment problem? I hate to replace them only to have issues within the next year.

I have the 2 year warranty on the trailer. Trailer is 9 months old! Is this something the dealer will fix?

I have to call them on Tuesday and see...

Sound like a real axle issue, or an overload situation to bow the axles that much

I dont have anything but some bedding in the camper... Dont think its over loaded....

Tires should be tipped in at the bottom axel should be hummped up in the center sounds like they are flipped upside down. They possibly put the wrong axels on underslung versus overslung I would contact the dealer right away. They need to correct it or your tires will never last.

They should arch up in the middle about 1/2inch you should be able to tell from your pics they look flat I would take it back to the dealer.

I checked online with Lippert and the Axles are overslung. So that is correct. But they sure look flat...

After 1500 miles, those tires look shot besides the inner tread being worn down. I am thinking an axle alignment problem, or someone put old tires on a new trailer.

Check the DOT code for the year made. Surely they should be no older than 2010s.

date code was 19th week in 2010. So that shouldnt be a problem... I agree with you guys it has to be axle problem. Now lets see if the dealer and forest river play ball.

Definitely an axle/alignment issue, and definitely under warranty. FR should pay for a 4-wheel alignment, and if that doesn't fix the problem, then they should have both axles replaced.

This didn't come from me, and hard to tell from your pics. If you look under te trailer, at the axles, they should be frowning, bent up in the middle. If they are not, then they were built wrong, with the spring tabs on the wrong side. Have seen this before on a few Wildwoods. Don't read the label, it can say anything, look at he axle. Yours sounds like if you looked at the axle, it would be smiling, which is upside down. Should be covered under warranty, but may be a fight. Hope you have a good dealer.

My Salem was doing the Same (2010 T25S), I brought mine back within 7 months of new. Lippert replaced the axles assemblies under warrently at my dealer. although they balked at the tire wear and said that the tires were NOT covered by their warrenty, I have to give kudos to Forest River for stepping up and replacing all 4 tires with new ones when i complained about the tires not being covered by Lippert.

The dealer has the axles on order from leppert. Hasn't said anything about the tires yet. I'll let you know what they say.

Update my dealer ordered and installed the new Axles from Leppert and replaced the tires! I hope to pick it up either Saturday or Monday! I spoke to the owner of the dealer may have helped slightly. Couldnt ask for a better result!

This happened to me. Brand new trailer wearing the jnside of the tires in less than 500 miles. Trailer was never overloaded. First tires were replaced, tires wore off. Then tires were replaced again, tires wore off. Then tires and axles were replaced, tires wore off. When I got tired of the problem, I took the trailer to a truck/trailer alignment shop, and they fixed the problem quickly. Haven't had a problem in more than 3000 miles of towing. The shop told me that new trailers are usually out of alignment out the factory, so I am convinced I could save some myself some grief by aligning the axles first before trying to replaced the axles the first time around. Trailer dealers can't deal with trailer alignments so all they do is keep replacing tires and axles until hopefully they get a set of axles that fall within spec wasting your time. Save yourself some aggravation and get some peace of mind and take your trailer to a alignment shop after you pick up your trailer to make sure your problem is100% fixed. You don't want to find out you still have a problem on a long trip vacation like I did.

Tires and Axles replaced! Seems to be good! Wish my TV was still in my camper.... Thats on another thread. It was broke into and stolen and the dealer is not replacing it...

We watch too much tv anyways...

Never would have thought to check alignment on a new TT. Thanks for the heads up as I am picking up my new trailer on Monday and would like to make sure they are aligned.

Any tips are helpful.
