Air bags

I have a WJ 3008 towed by a Silverado 1500. When I hook up the TT, the TV is lifted up on the front. I was told by a dealer that installing air bags on the TV is the solution. Any one have experience with this?

sounds like an expensive proposition just to pull a trailer... maybe the trailer is just too heavy for the truck?

Weight Distribution Hitch, my friend. Unless you have a really light trailer, your 1500 isn't going to be a lot better than my Jeep Grand Cherokee with 6200# rating. A WDH spreads the weight out between the axles meaning it isn't mostly just on your rear axle. Air bags, which mine isn't that fancy and did not come with factory RAM air bags, just raise your bumper. I got a Centerline T/S yesterday ($600 installed) that has sway control built into it as well.

I have ran Air Bags on my last two pick-ups one was a 2001 Chevy 2500 and my other truck is a 2008, 2500 Dodge Mega Cab with the 6.7L Cummins. Both trucks used the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Kit. I do use the Wireless controller and compressor to control the bags from the cab, but this is not required to operated the bags. Just makes it easy to adjust the bags depending on what I am hauling.
When I am empty (no load) the bags are inflated to 10 PSI, when loaded I adjust the bag air pressure between 20 and 50 PSI to level the truck.
