Air Compressor recommedations

we would like to get an air compressor small enough to keep in our underside storage, to use when our tires on our 5th wheel get low. we have our 5th wheel camper in a storage lot, so it isn't always where it needs to be to fill up the tires if needed and the fuel stations near us aren't RV friendly. we bought one that said it would fill up our tires (ran off the battery of the truck, but the first use, the motor over heated and melted the air hose we want one that runs off of electric but small enough to mount in the under storage

Viair is a great brand. They are still a 12v air compressor but don't have the same overheating issues. I've aired up all 10 of my tires without issue.

A little spendy, but you get what you pay for.

Best compressor I found to carry and I have 3 two electric. I like Ryobi that runs off all-one system. I did buy the larger 18v battery, but have no problem at all keeping my tires inflated. It's light and small and the battery will recharge in an hour. I have two gages one digital and the stick type. the gage on the Ryobi is on the money.....No cords or anything great little compressor will pump up a 110 PSI tire....

Forget those underpowered 12 jobbies. Lowes and home depot both sell 135 or 150 PSI pancake compressors that can inflate in a couple of minutes about anything you might need. Plus they can handle some power tools. 12 volt jobs take for ever to air up a tire and are really useless for any other choirs.

That's great if you have 110volt on the side of the road, also if you have the room to Carrie them, I quite being in a hurry years ago

If you want a really good 12V compressor, search for "Puma 12 volt compressor" on eBay. Highest CFM of any 12V on the market.

I picked the 110 volt Porter Cable. It's pretty light weight and fits easily in the storage. I also always have a 2000 watt genny with us so the 110 volt is not a problem. I've had those 12 volt compressor and they were slow, got really hot and difficult to fill the tire. I got mine from Amazon, here's a link.

What ever works is great, I bought a pancake compressor from Harbor freight that provides 100 psi fits in the back of my truck and cost $39.00 I also carry my 2 gens in the back of the truck so 110V is not a problem
