Air Compressor

Would you consider an air compressor to be "essential" to have in your TV or TT at all times?

If so, can you recommend a particular make/model?

Thank You!

Do you carry an extra long hose in order to reach TT tires?

I might go with this one since I use the Ryobi cordless drill for stabilizer jack deployment and already have several batteries.

I consider it essential, so I carry the VIAIR 450P, which is an excellent 12 volt compressor. You can also get the 450P-RV which comes with extra hose and additional tools required for some RVs. I didn't need the RV version, but I bought an additional section of hose.

I carry a Porter-Cable CMB15 1.5 gallon oil-free shrouded compressor with a 50 ft hose in my 5th wheel. Just make sure that you get an oil-free compressor with a max PSI rating that is above your tire requirement with sufficient air flow at your required tire pressure so you are not there for 10 minutes filling each tire. Many of the small compressors only put out .7 SCM or less at max pressure. The CMB15 does very well with my 125 PSI max tire rating, a good unit at a reasonable price.
