Air Suspension on a trailer?

Has anyone seen a camping specific air suspension setup for a tandem axle trailer?

Here is my scenario: Our fiver definitely rides hitch high. I have lowered (or I guess raised) the king pin as far as it will go and put the low profile feet on my Superglide. I am not really wanting to modify the truck suspension, so I was hoping there was a way to modify the trailer suspension.

My thought was there must be some sort of air ride setup that would allow me to raise the height of the trailer while traveling, but lower it back down to normal height when parked. Thoughts or experience?

There are several manufacturers of aftermarket and oem air ride set ups for trailers,but they are uasally seen on high$ horse trailers with liveing quarters.Google "horse trailer air suspension" or go to the "horse trailer world" forums and surf around. I had considered it for our Merhow (2horse w/ lq) but didnt really like the price!

We had the Trailair Center Point system installed while at FROG this year on CC 36RE and I will say it does make a big difference in the ride of the RV. Just for the heck of it I had wife drive down interstate with me in RV before and after adding Center Point and man what a difference. We also placed a dash of water in the floor and pulled all the way to TN and lost very little of the water. I like the air ride system and find it will worth the money, I just wish they had been able to put shocks on also but plain to add them later.

Does the TrailAir system let you air up enough to change the ride height? I need to raise the ride height ~3 inches at the axles to get to level.

The installation manual has a section about raise the ride height by using a different set of shackles, I would think you need to contact LCI to get the right shackles.

You could weld/bolt the bag brackets and hardware wherever you want it,within reason,for ride hight.You can also set the hieght adjustment valves in various positions if you have an on board compresser,which you should.

edit) I just looked at the trailair system and its not a true air ride,more of an air dampened system.You wont be able to change the ride hieght much with that system but all the reviews were positive. Google is your friend.
