Almost bad day, check your rims
Don't know where to post this but first time I seen or witnessed this....
just a safety check....
This guy was lucky.....after checking into camp, he pulled thru the road and crossed the speed bump and wasn't speeding....the rim separated and camper dropped on internal part of rim....the outer part of rim and tire held and hit a post, when we picked it up, still had air in it...
was obvious that the steel weld areas had rusted thru and welds broke....
...the rig was bumper pull wildwood about 30 feet....
Never hurts to jack up and check rims or have someone check them, while checking bearings....
he was lucky, there were kids out and several people standing close by...no one got hit...and he is lucky it didn't happen on interstate....
sorry no pics....he was having a bad enough day...
anyway thought I would mention as a reminder that never hurts to check more than the normal....
