Glenn, the rear of the support will not come down due to the axle torque, but the front will. Yours may not have moved and you're lucky it hasn't.

It can't move the bolts are at the bottom already. Maybe if I hit a big pot hole it will jump up. But it surely can not fall. Everything is welded together... The bolt plate is even welded, granted I have seen better weld jobs in my life but it is just not going to MOVE. Like I said blanket statements.

The bolts are in slots and the support CAN move if the bolts happen to loosen or rust in two.

You Win I guess, If that's what you want. Anything can happen but FR did install it right. My wheels can also fall off if my stud's break or rust out. I just do not see a problem, do not confuses my axle with presley01. Same units different years different axles.

As I told Leo yesterday on the phone, Lippert/FR/whomever installed it the cheapest, easiest way, not necessarily the best way. Design fact: you cannot hold torque with bolts thru slots. Slots are used for variations in the manufacturing procedures. If they did away with the slots and just used holes, it would be much better.

Your right but I do not see change due to the fact they use the same frame on different units. I still have 5 years on my warranty. If I have a problem I will just get it repaired. I didn't buy a unit to make all these repairs. With saying that thanks for the information, but I would be damned If I drill new holes because MAYBE something might happen. I feel my frame is solid could be wrong as always. But I didn't buy it to improve FR design. You can also say that about chevy and there 32000 car recall.

Chevy has absolutely not to do with the discussion.

I only said that due to the fact that everyone makes mistakes. You did not say what Leo told you on the reason why they approved it at FR? Please share the information if you don't mind.....Thanks, I'm sure anyone following this thread would like to know and what they are going to about it....Thanks for your answer on this of one of many issues with FR design changes.
