Bad blow out

Going down I 74 Doing 65 when the trail express tires blows out.Shredded apart wiped out the whole bottom of the slide out and damaged the other tire.
Got the spare on and scary situation when semi don't move over and rocking the trailer .
Got off at the next exit to find a tire shop.Nothing in town .Had to drive 8 miles down the highway on a iffy tire.
2 tires shops .1 has nothing my size .The other MA and PA shop had 2..
They only had a brand called transporter. Had a long way to go so had to purchase them 246 installed for
Anyone hear of these?????

If you can provide the first 2 characters of the DOT serial I can tell you the plant they are made in.

I assume from your comments you do not have a TPMS that would provide warning of air loss.
Most "Blow-outs" are actually "Run Low Flex Failures"

HERE is a post on why "Blowouts" are a major concern to RV owners but with suggestions on how to avoid this type of failure.

Is there any TPMS system that you would consider better than the rest?

Sorry to the OP that they have had such a horrible experience but glad that they are safe.

I feel for you hrlyguy. I had a triple blowout about a year ago. What a nightmare. The TrailExpress tires are crap, that's all that can be said. I now have 4 Maxxis tires on there. So far so good. Good luck to you.

Good question. Kind of like what is the most reliable medication to take. Simple question but difficult to answer.

I did do a post on how you might choose the best trailer tire. That might help you.

Just an FYI: When I went to your post, Webroot labeled it as having been identified as unsafe.

Don't have any idea why the software is providing a false positive.

I've had a couple of blow outs in the rear, on the same side. I finally figured out what was happening; I have valve extensions and the wheel cover was coming off and taking the valve extensions / stem with it. I've since wire-tied the wheel covers on. I've also purchased a TPMS. So far no more issues.

UH OH, I have "Transporter" tires on my TT. I purchased these last March at - - -Sam's Club. I had read reviews on these tires before purchasing and the reviews ran about 50/50 either way on these tires. So far- -they have held up rather well on my TT. I don't do across the country type camping. So far I've gone about 200 miles from home on one trip and was pulling the TT along at 65 mph. Just my story,
