Same problem
I just replaced a Good Year Marathon with the same problem three weeks ago. I also replaced one at the rally last year with the same problem.

Would definitely get good double lip seals and use the zerks as instructed by the mfgr and DO NOT get rambunctious with the grease gun. SLOW AND EASY DOES IT!

So they're good for a 5 or 10k maybe, but questionable on a full marathon!

Did Goodyear replace them or did you have to pay for them?

I'll take a look at those, thanks. I hadn't heard of these before. I'm also trying to decide whether to take a chance with Goodyear again since I already have two new ones, or to chunk all of them and switch to another brand.

Goodyear replaced the tire. I looked at the inside of the old tire and it looked just fine. We will see how this one holds up. Jerry

Yes. It was down to 8/32 from 10/32 tread depth. I believe it was $36.

Wow, I thought their warranty was only for 2 years. I'll have to see if they will replace mine.
