Bigfoot drain on batteries

Beginning about 4 months ago the automatic retract on the Bigfoot levelers began putting a huge drain on the batteries, pulling them from 13.1 volts to under 6 in a matter of seconds. They then would stop retracting and continue to squeal. Manual retraction works fine with no draw issues. It doesnt seem to matter if the coach is plugged into shore power or running the generator. In fact, the generator stalls after a few seconds during the automatic retract.
Coach was new in june of 2014, batteries are sealed so i cant check the water. Slide works perfectly. What should i check next?
