Bigfoot Leveling Won't Deploy
I took my Sunseeker out of mothballs for the new season and found Bigfoot kacls would not deploy. After a little reasearch I was able to correct the problem. But has anyone else had this problem and does it happen often?
To add a few bits of info, the lights for front and back were blinking so it was saying the batteries were low (even though they were full). I also knew enough juice was reaching the jacks because they activated when the retract button was pushed. Basicallythe system was mistakenly thinking there was no power.

Is it possible the batteries went low during storage? Once the levelers see low voltage they will not reset automatically when batteries are recharged. The control board needs to be manually reset. Ask me how I know lol.

Yes it turned out to be an easy fix. You might be right about the low voltage because I didn't check the house battery until I already had the MH running for a while.

I have found the batteries need to be almost fully charged or the system will throw that signal. Mine was at the dealer last year for some work. I left it about 3 weeks and that was enough for the batteries to get low enough to tripper it. Usually I am plugged in to shore power unless we are on the road.

Reset Button Location
That's my question also. Is it someplace under the unit?

Bigfoot on sun seeker
My sunseeker has Bigfoot on panel next to coach entry. Just unscrew the 4 screws, unplug power cable, wait 5 seconds, plug it back in, replace unit back in wall. This has worked for me several times. Hope this helps.

Exactly the way to do it. It took me longer to google the cure than it did to actually fix it.

BTW, what really surprised me was Bigfoot still remembered the settings I put in last year for leveling. I'm just not used to having something work out so easily on a RV! :-)

Battery switch
Had the same problem - realized that when we turn the switch to turn off the batteries - which on our unit is to the left of the Bigfoot control plannel- we then had to pull the control panel out to disconnect to get it to reset. You would think with today's technology there would be a reset button

Your Bigfoot levelers should be wired directly to the batteries. Turning the battery disconnect on should not effect power to the Jack's. Also they draw a good amount of power when deployed. You should always be plugged into shore power or have generator running. Another good thread on Bigfoot levelers is here

Battery disconnect
So when we turn the battery disconnect switch off that should affect the bigfoot. So I guess that means ours isn't wired right ?

It shouldn't effect the levelers. Your levelers should work regardless of the position of the battery disconnect switch.

Thanks - so when I turn the switch off and then back on the lights flash on our big foot and I have to reset it - does the wiring need to be changed to correct this

Yes I would definitely have someone who understands how to wire the Bigfoot levelers look at your wiring. They should be wired directly.
