blocking when parked and not in use

Ok queafion does anybody do any blocking when parked and not in use?
the reason i'm asking is today we had some high winds about 30-35 with guset to 40-50
i was looking out the window at the camper as it was sitting heading south and the wind was from the west so it was hitting the right side of the unit.
while looking at it, it looked as if the left front leg was tappered in as it sits on a concrete pad
so i walked out to look closer and the wind was strong enough that the right front leg was off the ground about 1 inch so the total weight of the unit was on the left front leg, not good in my mind. So i put my truck under it to take most of the weight then also put the legs down to help satblize it never thiught the wind would tilt the unit that much.
just a note the a semi trailer did tip over adout 40 miles north on the hwy this morning

I have done the same thing in strong winds.
Meaning I hooked up the truck to it and put the legs down.
Not sure if it it would have tipped, but made me feel a whole lot better.

Oh the fun things I have to look forward to. Expecting our new TT soon and my DW thinks I'm CRAZY for researching so much. I tried to explain that I want to be educated in case something breaks or worse. My family and friends say, "new trailer...what could go wrong"! Then I tell them about one out of every ten stories that I read on this forum.

I'll be relieved when we finally have the TT at our house. I think it has been 77 days of waiting now. Wouldn't be upset if it wasn't for the fact that we were told 4 to 6 weeks by salesman. I completely understand that this is coming from a salesman though!

We have been having some really strong winds around here the past couple of days. All I can keep thinking is that I'm glad I didn't schedule to pick up the TT this weekend. Any tips for pulling in strong winds if I happen to get caught in them? I would definitely try and avoid it if possible first of all.

Personally I just slowdown some and look for the next campground to stop at.
Most of our trips are get there when we get there.
The ones that we HAVE to be someplace at a certain date and time. I reserve the site for a day past when I think I will get there to give me at least 24 hours for weather etc...

Reserving an extra day would be great if I didn't have that pesky thing called a job. In the past we have always just camped for 3 days at a time. Now I'm thinking of using vacation and going for an entire week every once in awhile. Might just book a little extra time to be on the safe side.

Before the 5er I pulled TTs for decades. Always opened a rear roadside and mid window. Seemed to help on wind and fast moving semis passing. Maybe just my imagination but I'd not pull one again without the windows opened a little.

I do just that, a week or two out of state with 1-3 three or four day trips if I can in state.

Went out for two weeks got back found out we were given extra time off so we repacked and spent the fourth of July in Yellowstone.....

I can see how the windows may help a little bit. Wonder if Myth Busters ever had an episode about this?

I lower the stabilizer jack on the leeward side of the trailer when it is in storage. The parking spot is sloped a little so I feel it keeps it from rocking in high winds.

We typically have 30 to 40 mph wind over the winter, gusting to 80 to 90 at times. When I park it for the winter, I point the front into the prevailing winds, level it and put all stabilizer jacks down. I have seen days when my truck is rocking and rolling with the wind, but the TT remains stable. Never had a problem!

If you happen to get caught in high winds, get off the highway, especially if it is elevated. Stopping under an overpass is a good choice. Now the question is "how high is high?". If semi's are having a hard time, I pull over.
