Brake controller suggestion?

My brake controller failed. Any suggestions for a replacement?

What did you have previously?

The Tekonsha Prodigy always get many nods here when this same question is asked.

Oh and .. I see it's your 1st post... Welcome!

Had a Prodigy P3 in my TV before upgrading. Now my truck has one integrated.

P3 worked great. You will not be disappointed.

Direclink by Tuson RV Brakes. Most advanced brake controller available. Plugs into ODBII port for better trailer brake control. Must be good, as Airstream recommends them.

Wow. How to completely over complicate a simple, one wire braking system.

In a nut-shell....everyone just buys the one they like. If there was the "Holy Grail" of controllers...everyone would own that one. My son bought a Blue tooth controller and now...anyone that has a hitch and a vehicle big enough to pull it...they can. No need for a controller in each vehicle. Plug in the little hand held remote and away you go.

I'm using a RedArc TowPro Elite, works great.. I didnt want a knee basher on my Luxury vehicle, the remote install is very nice and discrete, installed it so it looks OEM.

Never seen that one before. Interesting. Quite a bit more than the P3.

I'm old and getting older...the more simple the better to me. The Tekonsha is hard to beat. Been about 30+ years I recon...long as I can remember anyway.

If you leave RedArc in auto mode its basically wire it up, drive around for a lil bit to let it calibrate, hook up trailer, and go.. its just a color changing LED for status that its working and no interface to learn.

You can put it in manual and set the gain and all that but I haven't needed to do this yet, just tap button to make sure brakes are working while in auto when I hookup.

Yeah its definitely on the higher end in cost, but I wanted the minimalist interface and remote head.. Aussies make some high end trailering gear.
