brake magnet wire lead

Does it matter which direction the wires lead from the magnet? Mine were following the swing arm but this was putting them against the hub when the brakes were applied. I reversed the magnet so the wires are leading toward the back. I still have the same face of the magnet toward the hub.

I've attached a link from etrailer. Looks like the magnet wire is towards the front of the camper on both RH and LH brake assemblies... Trailer Brakes | etrailer.com

It doesn't matter which way the wires are hooked up.
