Brake shoe thickness?

Getting ready for the season, doing wheel bearings and brake adjust/replacement. My question is the thickness of the brake material on the shoes. Mine are evenly worn, drum is smooth and everything looks good but the material is 1/8 to 3/16 thick. Anybody know what the Al-KO 10 inch brake thickness is new? Thanks.

I do not know the ALKO brand specifications. But I do know that Dexter states that the brake shoes should be replaced when they are 1/16 of an inch or less. So it sounds like you have some live left in those old shoes.

When new the lining on Dexter branded shoes is only 5/32"

After pulling wheels and hubs/drums, I would replace the shoes no matter what. Beats doing this all over again. Plus, you know you are good.
