I agre it would have been under warranty. But I have always looked at it as , Is it worth the time and fuel to pull the unit back to the dealer for things I can do myself. In about an hour I looked at and adjusted all 4 brakes. took the 5er to local Airport where there are large unused parking lots. and recalibrated the prodigy. Checked drum temps and am now ready to roll this weekend.
Dealer service example. Call them to schedule into service, Tow it over drop it off for service 2 hours, Call the next day to hear sob story of why they didnt get to it. wait A couple more days, Drive back to dealer only to hear that they dont have authorization from factory to do work under warr. Then get in A war of words in order to get it fixed, which will take another day or 2.
At least A week wasted and my unit sitting there. So this repair (adjustment)I did on my own.
Now as for the major items that I have been waiting on since the first Shakedown run, Now thatis A different issue. stopped in the other day and 1 of 4 items are in. well after this trip I will be in touch with the factory if Dealer does not have everthing ready to do the repairs that are needed on my 3 month old unit.
I might have to call Kevin at Cedar Creek (hopefully he is still there) As he has helped me with A few things before on the other CC we had. If not I will see whos in charge of warranty now.
Sure would be nice if someone from the Cedar Creek Factory looked at this forum once in A while as seems to be done with other Model & Brand Forums on here!
