Brakes???

I just got my Ram 3500 to tow my 5th wheel and I am trying to figure out the. Setting for the electric brake controller in the truck. It gives 4 choices of braking system? Thank you

From Pg 552 of the 2013 Owners Manual
Light electric- Electric trailer brakes under 10K load
Heavy electric- Electric trailer brakes above 10k load
Light EOH- Electric over hydraulic trailer brakes under 10k load
Heavy EOH- Electric over hydraulic trailer brakes above 10k load

You are going to be looking at the electric choices. Most people use the under 10k setting unless you are pulling a large 5r. Check your loaded weights and choose accordingly

Retired Jan 1996. Last command was COMPHIBGRU Two Det Norfolk, VA. Work Environmental, Health, and Safety for 12 years afterward. Fully retired at 59 and loving it!

What year is your Ram Truck?

Use the heavy electric setting....the light electric setting in my 2012 3500 says it's only good for 3500 pounds or less
